Royal Patron
We were pleased to receive the news that His Majesty King Charles III will be the new Royal Patron of the Institute with immediate effect.
This follows a recent review of Royal Patronages conducted by the Royal Household. For seven decades, CGI was proud to have the support of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, who became our Patron in 1952. The Institute has held Royal Patronage since King Edward VII became the first Patron in 1902 and we are delighted that this will continue. It recognises the importance of governance and honours the important role that governance professionals play in our society.
